I am often asked how these amazing colours are created. In the beginning I had not appreciated how complex cat colours and markings actually are. Over time I collected some great source material to help understand what makes outstanding colours and markings in our cats. Purely focusing on our lines, I've tried to explain it simply and therefore not covering all the variations in the breed.
We specialise in Breeding British Shorthair and British Longhair cats. We breed the delightful shimmer of Shaded, Chinchilla Tipping and Ticked kittens in a beautiful range of specialised colours.

Coat Colour

The British Longhair has the same features as the British Shorthair as they are closely related and share a common history. The semi-long hair coat resulted from the outcrossing of the British Shorthair with the Turkish Angora and later the Persian cats.
For happy groomed cats, start young and make it a relaxing experience, like a mother grooming her kitten. This turns grooming into bonding time. Ours jump on the table when we start grooming and sit around waiting for the tickle of a comb or brush.
